Tommies Childcare is Moving on up in the Best Companies to Work For List

What if one of the best UK companies to work for was on your door step?

For the second year running, Tommies Childcare is in The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For list.

In 2019, Tommies ranked at number 34. This year (2020), they have shot up through the rankings to number 15.

Some lucky members of the Tommies team were treated to a night of celebration to mark their achievement. The Best Companies awards ceremony, hosted by Dan Walker, took place at Evolution London on 19th February.

The team were anxious to find out where in the list the organisation would sit. There were huge cheers of excitement and celebration when the announcement was made.

Tommies staff don their finest to celebrate their accreditation

Why does this matter?

When people are engaged with the organisation they work for, they feel more motivated and take great pride in what they do.

Staff at Tommies believe in a shared purpose and understand the role they play in staying true to the values of the organisation.

For parents registered at a Tommies nursery, this means that the people looking after their children are extraordinarily engaged in the work they do: caring for your children.

Statistic: 98% of staff at Tommies agree that: “I feel proud to work for this organisation.”

“Outstanding early years experiences for children”

People at Tommies are flying high following their second successive accreditation.

Danielle Butler, Operations Director said:

In a sector where we can make a difference to the lives of the children we work with, it’s amazing to know that our employees are happy in such a vital role.

Knowing that our staff are engaged fills me with reassurance. They are in a strong position to deliver outstanding early years experiences for children.

Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies congratulated Tommies on the achievement:

Congratulations for making the 100 Best List for 2 years on the run! Also, congratulations for your highest ever BCI score and achieving our 3 Star Accreditation Status. Well done indeed.
