Day Nursery & Pre-school Provision in Kenilworth
Meet the team
I am Carrie, the Nursery Manager here at Field House Day Nursery. I started my career here at Tommies Childcare in May 2021, and I am very excited to be a part of the team here.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Education for 0 – 18 Years. My primary passion is outdoor play, exploring and forest schools. I have worked in the early years’ sector for nearly ten years, starting in breakfast and after-school clubs before working in various day nurseries across Staffordshire and Stoke.
I am also a mother to Roman. Roman has chronic kidney disease, is tube fed and awaiting a transplant, so my experience as a mother of a child with additional needs and medical experience is something I will be bringing to the nursery to support the families who attend Field House.
In 2017, I was recognised for my ‘outstanding contribution’ in my previous employment for my hands-on approach to renovating the nursery. I have also had an article published in Early Years Careers which explains why I am passionate about working in this sector.
I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about Field House and have your child attend our nursery. Why not arrange a consultation today?
My name is Amy and I joined the Tommies group in July 2017, originally at The Old School Day Nursery in North Warwickshire. I joined the team here at Field House in January 2020.
I have worked in childcare for nearly 15 years, many of which have been spent in the role of a Deputy Manager. Throughout my career so far, I have attained various childcare qualifications and gained my Level 3 qualification in Management.
In my time so far at Field House I have become part of a warm and experienced team, and through parent partnerships we have created an inviting and homely experience for the children in our care.
We’d be delighted to show you around our nursery. Please feel free to arrange a visit!
Field House is supported by a team of 6 Nursery Practitioners who are all passionate about working with children in the early years sector. All staff have Paediatric First Aid Training and receive regular and ongoing training through a variety of internal and external professional development opportunities.
Our commitment guarantees that our employees are the best of the best, recruiting those who have a desire to make a difference to children and are passionate about the early years as a career choice.
The nursery was last inspected by Ofsted in 2018 and retained its ‘Good’ grading. Ofsted remarked that, “Staff have high expectations of children. Staff make good use of their accurate observations and assessments to effectively plan for each child’s learning and to meet their individual needs.”
The setting has high quality environments, both indoors and outdoors, in which the staff team are able to create outstanding early years experiences for children. The garden area was professionally designed and refurbished in 2019, providing an environment that the children at Field House love play in.
In 2018, the team were presented with the Progression Award at the Tommies Childcare Awards Ceremony.
Our Community Library at Field House was an idea created by one of the team, this has been extremely popular in sharing their love of books with the children, parents and the wider community.
