Baby Room (6 weeks to 2 years)

For young babies we provide a home-from-home environment in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. We aim to offer a smooth transition from home to nursery, providing ‘settling-in sessions’ to gain knowledge of the child’s individual needs and routines.

Our experienced staff support children in daily routines of sleep, feeding and supporting children through activities, play and moving children onto more physical skills such as crawling and walking.

We provide a rich and stimulating environment that allows children to use all of their senses and learn and explore from the world around them, providing a range of natural resources that allow the youngest children to thrive and find out about how things work.

Toddler Room (2 years to 3 years)

As children become more mobile, the types of activities and play experiences that our nursery practitioners create change slightly so that they have a smooth transition into our Little Explorers room. This room is designed to enhance and further stimulate their development.

We teach children to become more independent and learn how to access their resources for themselves. At this stage in your child’s life it’s important that they have access to a range of materials that allow them to explore and discover, giving them chance to show what they know and what they can already do with staff close by to support and encourage further development.

Pre-school Room (3 years to 5 years)

The pre-school room is situated on the ground floor. It’s divided into different areas of play and learning to enhance your child’s development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The children have access to a variety of different media that allows them to explore, create and work out solutions for themselves. The children’s interests play a large part in the planning process and our experienced staff really tune into the children to ensure we are providing for each individual’s learning needs.

A wide balance of activities enables children to grow in confidence and become competent learners, ensuring they are ready for school when the time comes.

Outdoors

Our garden offers children a sense of freedom to explore in the natural environment, building homes for bugs and growing to see for themselves how the world works. It’s divided into different areas to allow children to use it as a learning environment as well as a place to run around with their friends.

All children have access to the garden on a daily basis and are able to experience and notice the changes in the seasons as they explore the garden in all weather.
