Baby Room (6 weeks to 15 months)

We like to offer a home-from-home environment in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere for small babies. We aim to offer a smooth transition from home to nursery through strong relationships with our parents and providing ‘settling-in sessions’ to gain knowledge of your child’s individual needs and routines.

Our experienced staff support the children in daily routines of sleep, feeding and supporting children through activities, play and moving children onto more physical skills such as crawling and walking. We provide a rich and stimulating environment that allows children to use all of their senses and learn and explore from the world around them. We also provide a range of natural resources that allow the youngest children to thrive, discover new textures and how items work.

Toddler Room (16 months to 2 1/2 years)

As children develop and become more mobile, the types of activities and play experiences that our nursery practitioners create change slightly so that they have a smooth transition into our Toddler Room. This room is designed to enhance and further stimulate their development through teaching them to be more independent and make choices in accessing resources for themselves.

At this stage in your child’s life, it’s important that they have access to a range of materials that allow them to explore and discover, giving them a chance to show what they know and what they can already do with staff close by to support and gently encourage further development.

Pre-school Room (2 1/2 to 5 years)

The pre-school room is on the ground floor. It’s divided into different areas of play and learning to enhance your child’s development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The children have access to a variety of different media that allows them to explore, create and work out solutions for themselves.

The children’s interests play a large part in the planning process and our experienced staff really tune in to the children to ensure they are providing for each child’s individual learning needs.

Children regularly go on walks in the environment to the woods, the park and the library and using the local community as a base for experiences they cannot always get from the nursery. A wide balance of activities enables children to grow in confidence and become competent learners, ensuring they are school ready when the time comes.

Our garden offers children a sense of freedom to explore in a natural environment, building homes for bugs and growing things to see for themselves how the world works.

It’s divided into different areas to allow children to use the spaces as a learning environment as well as a place to run around with their friends. All children have access to the garden on a daily basis and are able to experience and notice the changes in the seasons as they explore the garden in all types of weather.
