We introduced the Tommies Childcare Guarantee in 2020 to support parents making that all-important choice: choosing a childcare provider.

The Tommies Guarantee gives parents the peace of mind they need once they decide to send their child to a Tommies Childcare nursery.

Here, we will deep dive into exactly what the Tommies Guarantee is and the assurances it provides for parents.

Risk-Free Payment

If you aren’t happy with your child’s first month with us, we will refund your fees. This will apply if you feel your child cannot settle at our nursery, and a decision will be reached in partnership with the nursery manager and nursery team. Please note that this will not apply if you simply change your mind.

Unlimited Settlings

Your child can come back time and time again until they are genuinely settled and happy.

Settling-in sessions will be arranged in partnership with the nursery team. You’ll receive regular communication about how your child is settling. We don’t allow any child to start at our nurseries without first attending settling-in sessions. The happiness and well-being of your child is our priority.

All-Weather Activities

Come rain or shine, your child will have adventures with fun activities indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather conditions.

Children should attend our nurseries prepared to brave the outdoors regardless of the weather. Children of all ages go outside during cold, rain and even snowy weather. Of course, we will always consider safety should the weather conditions be extreme.

Rigorous Vetting and Recruitment

Our people are at the heart of what we do. We cannot stress this enough. We carefully ensure our employees are the right fit for us and your child.

All employees undergo a comprehensive recruitment process, meaning that references for the last 3 years are always obtained before an employee commences employment. All employees are DBS checked, and all permanent staff receive Paediatric First Aid training within their first 6 months of employment.

Boosting Self-Confidence

We promise to work with your child to foster self-esteem, inquisitiveness and individuality. Our work is centred around helping children become socialised and grow in confidence.

Children should leave our nurseries with personal, social, and emotional skills. We help children become good communicators with high self-esteem and self-worth and the ability to develop relationships with others. We believe these skills will give children the foundation they need to thrive at school and later in life.
