Field House is supported by a team of 6 Nursery Practitioners who are all passionate about working with children in the early years sector. All staff have Paediatric First Aid Training and receive regular and ongoing training through a variety of internal and external professional development opportunities.

The nursery was last inspected by Ofsted in 2018 and retained its ‘Good’ grading. Ofsted remarked that, “Staff have high expectations of children. Staff make good use of their accurate observations and assessments to effectively plan for each child’s learning and to meet their individual needs.”

The setting has high quality environments, both indoors and outdoors, in which the staff team are able to create outstanding early years experiences for children. The garden area was professionally designed and refurbished in 2019, providing an environment that the children at Field House love play in.

In 2018, the team were presented with the Progression Award at the Tommies Childcare Awards Ceremony.

Our Community Library at Field House was an idea created by one of the team, this has been extremely popular in sharing their love of books with the children, parents and the wider community.
