Exploring and creating adventures is what being a toddler is all about, which is why our Toddler Room at Arbury features a dedicated role-play area. Here, toddlers can enjoy pretending to be chefs, housekeepers, or dinner hosts, encouraging their imagination and social skills.

But it’s not just about role-play. We provide a wide variety of activities designed to help toddlers learn to interact with their peers, develop essential social skills such as sharing and kindness, and lay the foundations for positive relationships as they grow.

Many activities in the Pre-school Room are tailored around your child’s individual interests, ensuring a nurturing and engaging environment that helps them thrive as they get ready for primary school.

The Garden

Garden & Outdoor Spaces

All children need time to stretch those little legs and build strength. At Arbury, our garden offers every child the opportunity to do this regularly. The natural environment outdoors provides unique learning experiences that cannot be replicated inside.

That’s why we are dedicated to allowing children to explore and play in our garden daily – come rain or shine. Whether your little one wants to burn off some energy running or riding a trike, embark on an insect hunt, or follow their curiosity, there is always a new adventure waiting in our garden at Arbury.

A warm welcome from the nursery Manager

Stacey Brannagan

Nursery Manager at Arbury Day Nursery

Hello,

My name is Stacey Scott, and I am delighted to be the Nursery Manager here at Arbury Day Nursery.

Since joining Tommies in 2014, I have grown through various roles, starting as a Lunchtime Assistant and progressing to Nursery Practitioner, Room Leader, Third in Charge, and Deputy Manager. This journey has equipped me with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional early years education.

Childcare has been my passion since my teenage years. I find great joy in the unique energy and curiosity that children bring every day. While the role comes with its challenges, I embrace them wholeheartedly, as no two days are ever the same, and witnessing children learn and grow continues to inspire me.

I warmly invite you and your family to visit Arbury Day Nursery so we can support your child’s exciting early years journey together. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones soon.

Dana M

Mother of Child

I am extremely happy with the nursery and the care my son receives. Since attending, I have seen a noticeable improvement in his development, especially in his language and communication skills. He has learned many new words and now expresses himself with much more confidence, which has been wonderful to see as a parent. Would recommend!

Flora F

Mother of Child

My son started attending the nursery in September 2025 and he loves it. The nursery staff are brilliant. They really helped with the settling-in process for both my son and I. Now I am comfortable to leave him there and know he is well looked after. The staff is great communication via phone calls, messages, and the app. Very friendly and happy to have a chat with you at the start and end of your child’s day.

C M

Mother of Child

My little one has been attending the nursery for nearly a year now and I am so happy he comes here. The staff have been fantastic. I get daily updates of what he has been up to, which is lovely to see. The nursery has a home from home feel to it and a wonderful outdoor area!
