A warm welcome from the nursery Manager

Debbie Moreton

Nursery Manager at The Old School Day Nursery

Thank you for taking the time to learn about The Old School Day Nursery. My name is Debbie Moreton, and I am proud to serve as the Nursery Manager here.

In my role, I am dedicated to supporting our team and ensuring that every child receives the highest-quality care and early education. Since joining Tommies, I have developed my skills and deepened my understanding of the policies, procedures, and values that make our nursery a nurturing and supportive place for both children and staff. Witnessing children and families grow in confidence is truly one of the best parts of my job.

I have also contributed to developing our room environments and daily routines to ensure they meet children’s needs and support their learning. Mentoring new staff members and helping existing team members progress in their roles brings me great fulfilment, as I enjoy watching others grow and succeed.

Creating a positive, open atmosphere where my team feels valued, supported, and confident coming to me with anything, big or small, is very important to me. I strive to foster a nursery environment where everyone feels listened to and can rely on one another.

I warmly welcome you and your family to visit The Old School and see how we can support your child’s early years journey. Please arrange a tour so we can show you the nurturing and stimulating environment we provide.

M J

Father of Child

“An amazing nursery that has cared for both our children. They are always providing stimulating activities and both children loved going. We chose to have a smaller setting to ensure that the staff knew our children and we consistently know them well. We love the invites to parent/carers for special events as it is lovely seeing just how happy our child is there!

Georgia B

Mother of Child

“I could not feel more at ease sending my baby to The Old School Day Nursery. The staff are very kind and super helpful with any query. They ensured my child had extra settling-in sessions when he was struggling with the transition of starting nursery. They have communicated with us really well throughout the whole process and have built a great bond with our son. The activities are perfect for his age and what he likes to do, whilst also helping him develop further with fine motor skills, speech, etc.

Amie S

Mother of Child

“My son attend this nursery from 8 months old until he went to school this September. The nursery was the obvious choice for my daughter as we had a brilliant experience with my son. My daughter, however, struggles with separation anxiety. I can not praise the nursery and staff enough for their continued support and understanding. They have been amazing from the beginning, extra settling in sessions and working with me 1:1 to ensure my daughter has the best experience possible with the least amount of anxiety. They have personalised a plan for her and we have regular meetings to highlight things that are working and to come up with new ideas. I would 100% recommend this nursery to everyone.
