Why Choose

Field House Day Nursery?

Field House provides a nurturing and natural environment where children thrive through engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences tailored to support their development and prepare them confidently for school.

Field House is not just a place for learning - it’s a welcoming second home where children enjoy unique experiences and opportunities that extend beyond what they receive at home, fostering their development in a caring and supportive atmosphere.

Our staff work hard to plan rich, varied, and imaginative activities tailored to your child's interests, supporting their language development, early numeracy skills, and preparing them confidently for school.

Rooms

& Age Groups

Baby Room

(up to 12 months)

Our Baby Room is thoughtfully designed to engage babies’ senses and encourage early exploration.

Here, little ones can pull up a cushion at our sensory play tables to interact with a variety of natural materials, fostering hands-on discovery. They can also crawl over to the messy play area to splash in the water tray or practice early mark-making.

When it’s time to rest, our separate sleep room offers a calm, soothing space for babies to relax and recharge after a busy morning or afternoon of play and excitement.

FIRST STEPS ROOM

(1 - 2 YEARS)

Our First Steps Room is designed specifically for children transitioning from infants to toddlers. It offers ample space and freedom for little ones to take their first steps, engage in small world play and role-playing activities, and develop their motor skills.

The room also features an inviting climbing frame, providing endless fun and adventure to support physical development and confidence.

Toddler Room

(2 - 3 Years)

Exploring and creating adventures is what being a toddler is all about, so our Toddler Room encourages 2-to-3-year-olds to do just that.

Along with imaginative play, children at this age start learning to share and play with others. The room is well-equipped with a variety of toys and activities to engage busy young minds. As toddlers become more mobile and curious, they enjoy gaining independence and testing new skills.

Our Toddler Room is designed to support this development, offering plenty of opportunities to interact with peers and practice kindness and sharing.

Pre-School Room

(3 - 5 Years)

From creative constructions to wide-ranging interests, there’s always something exciting in our Pre-school Room. With bi-fold doors opening to our garden, children can freely move between indoor and outdoor spaces, supporting outdoor learning and exploration.

The Pre-school Room is the final step in your child’s early years education before starting school. As children near compulsory school age, our dedicated staff help prepare them for primary school by fostering confidence, independence, and essential skills.

Many activities are based on your child’s interests, ensuring a personalised and engaging early years curriculum that promotes learning and development.

The Garden

Garden & Outdoor Spaces

All children need time to stretch those little legs. Our garden gives all the children at Field House the chance to do this regularly. The great outdoors provides children with unique learning opportunities that just can’t be replicated indoors, which is why we are committed to letting children roam around our garden every day, come rain or shine.

Whether children feel the need to burn off some energy by running around or riding a trike, going on a hunt for insects, or exploring whatever may take their fancy, there is always an adventure to be had in our garden at Field House.

Keeping You Informed

and Reassured

The FAMLY APP

We love swapping stories, celebrating milestones, and telling you all about what your child gets up to each day when they’re away from home. That’s why we use Famly – the #1 parent partnership app that keeps you connected when your child is at nursery.

ONSITE

CCTV

Your child’s safety is of paramount importance to us.

We use CCTV to support safeguarding and the security of our nursery. It’s an extra layer alongside careful recruitment, DBS checks, and regular training.

Zoe P

Mother of Child

Field House has been excellent – they were super accommodating when we were moving to the area and had to keep changing start dates. Our little one settled in super quickly thanks to the brilliant staff. The garden area is amazing – she loves getting out for fresh air and play in the garden every day. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

T M

Father of Child

An amazing team and a really fantastic nursery that our son has enjoyed over the past almost three years! Couldn’t recommend highly enough, a caring and enthusiastic team with a real passion for baby and toddler development and learning.

M W

Mother of Child

The team at Field House are so skilled, warm, caring and considerate not only of the children in their care but also of parents experiencing the same separation angst as their child who might be attending nursery for the first time. My daughter certainly struggled initially but the team were so patient and kind with us both as she settled. In a matter of weeks I’m seeing brilliant photos of her playing with others, she sleeps far better at nursery than she does for me and the breadth of food she’s trying and enjoying is beyond anything I could do at home. I’m truly impressed and would recommend to anyone. The facilities are of course very good but it’s the team you need to trust in.
